Cutremur de 7,2 grade în Off the west coast of northern Sumatra
Un cutremur cu magnitudinea 7,2 (MWW) s-a produs marți, 10 ianuarie 2012, la ora 20:36 (ora României), în Off the west coast of northern Sumatra. Hipocentrul a fost localizat la 19 km adâncime, ceea ce îl face un cutremur superficial.
Poate produce distrugeri grave pe suprafețe mari.
Potrivit USGS, 81 de persoane au raportat că au simțit cutremurul.
