Un cutremur cu magnitudinea 7,3 (MWW) s-a produs duminică, 16 iunie 2019, la ora 01:55 (ora României), în Kermadec Islands, New Zealand. Hipocentrul a fost localizat la 46 km adâncime, ceea ce îl face un cutremur superficial.
Poate produce distrugeri grave pe suprafețe mari.
Potrivit USGS, 12 persoane au raportat că au simțit cutremurul.
Pentru acest cutremur a fost emis un mesaj privind posibilitatea unui tsunami. Urmăriți comunicările autorităților locale.
